Leading Lady Mary Maloney

Leading Lady Mary Maloney was a suffragist "Heckler" who was known for disrupting Winston Churchill's campaign speeches. She intrusively rang a large dinner bell to protest the way the derogatory manner with which he spoke about suffragists.

Learn about Mary Maloney now! Her pattern contains information on two women's rights organizations that Mary was a member of. She advocated for the understanding that women were no longer going to stand for their voices to be silenced. Mary showed a global leader that a woman without titles, and who lacked the ability to vote had the ability to take his voice away. Mary cracked a new code for non-violent protests, flipping the script on who held power.  She was still referred to as militant. Learn why!
