Leading Lady Dr. Mary Cleave

Dr. Mary Cleave, was a veteran of two NASA missions to space equipped with training in civil and environmental engineer, as well as biological sciences and microbial ecology. Mary was born in Southampton, New York. She was a NASA Astronaut, The Tenth American Woman in Space, The First Woman to fly on NASA’s Space Shuttle after the Challenger Disaster, The First Woman to Served as The Associate Administrator for Science Mission Directorate, Part of the Historical First Female-Female CAPCOM Connection: Dr. Sally Ride & Dr. Cleave, A Member of Shuttle Atlantas Responsible for Launching Magellan to Venus, A Civil Engineer, An Environmental Engineer, and a Pilot.

Dr. Cleave left an incredible legacy, and our world has  immeasurable gains thanks to her love for Earth Science, and the intense desire to heal our planet!
